A Mother's Daydream focuses on the inner emotional world of a middle-aged woman, which accompanies the character in her search for her spiritual home in the form of roam.
    Bai Yuzhen, a woman living in a northern industrial city, has just entered middle age. Her son, Huang Yijie, has been admitted to university and is about to leave the family. Faced with her husband's absence and her son's departure, Bai Yuzhen develops the idea of realising the value of her life, and one night, Bai Yuzhen finally makes up her mind and chooses to run away.
    At that moment, a young boy on a motorbike wearing the same bracelet as her son stops at the crossroad...
